Im so excited. Im hosting the launch party for everyone who wants to come at my place tomorrow!!! We are all going to do our fitness test together- scarey, and we are going to taste test some of Michelles recipes from crunchtime.
How cool is it that I have a whole group of friends doing the program with me. We even got some cool shirts to wear.
This is a blog I started of my weight loss journey through the Michelle Bridges 12 weeks body transformation. A way for me to blog my thoughts and feelings and to look back at how far I have come. Maybe it might inspire people to do the same.

calories WTH do they mean?
Usually I just eat. But now its turned into a full on mathematical equation.
This is what I have to do.
My BMR is 1798. This is worked out when I put my weight and height in on the 12wbt website. This represents how many calories I can eat to stay the same as I am now.
So to loose weight I need to be in a calorie deficit. By eating 1200 calories a day, I have already clocked up a daily deficit of 598 calories. Weekly thats 4186 calorie deficit. Which works out to be just under a kg a week weight loss.
To loose more than that I need to burn at least 500 calories a day making my calorie deficit for the week just over 7000 and weight loss of just over 1kg. More than that is huge and what Im aiming for.
Let the fun and games begin

Pre season round one here we are.
With one day left of pre season I thought Id go back over the pre season tasks given to us by Mish. This round Ive already started to follow everything to a T and am much more organised and prepared. I got great results last round but need to push it this round big time. I have a goal and Im determined to get to it.
Introduce myself:
Hi my name is Meegan. Im 35, engaged to a great man, I shall call him the ginga ninja or if Im angry, the ranga.
I have 4 children. Cody is 15, Joel is 13, Joshua is 5 and Andrew is 2. Boy oh boy do they give me a run for my money. Teenagers and toddlers. Just read my venting facebook status updates for the latest drama as it unfolds.
I currently weigh 103.5kg. Id like to walk down the asile in november 75kg. That is my dream and my wish and I know I will achieve it.
I have MS- aka Multiple Sclerosis. I dont let it stop me doing anything I want to do but sometimes it does. I am 12 months free of cancer as of last week and have asthma. None of which I will ever use as an excuse for what I put in my mouth again.
Shit happens, and so it has in my life but now my life is one of living, not just existing. Before, I looked at the neck up, now, I embrace who I am today and go with it. Not letting anything ruin the chance at enjoying everyday as it comes.
To making it count!- The dash inbetween
Get real Excuses:
I think Ive used every excuse possible. From trying to 'save' my energy for a rainy day to thinking people are laughing at me. My biggest fear is people talking about me, its also a pet hate :( I always think if you are listening to someone saying things about another person, then you can bet they do the same thing to other people about you. Makes me sad.
Im not using the excuse of being sick anymore. its not an excuse. Sure it restricts what I can do at times but its not a reason for me to eat what I want when I want. What kind of lessons am I teaching my children? I dont ever want them to feel how I have felt.
Gear up:
I finally got myself a polar FT7 and I love it, how did I even manage to do exercise efficiently before this?
Measure up:
This is the scariest of them ALL. That and the photo. Holy crap, the before photo in my glory is awful, but its part of the process cause I know I wont STAY this way.
Bring it on I say.
More on my goals and mini goals soon

The dash inbetween.
I decided to start a new blog, one to record MY dash inbetween. Seeing some very much loved family members die over the last few years, it got me thinking, What does my dash mean? What will I be remembered for? What WILL my dash mean to others after Im gone.
Here is a little poem about the meaning of the dash inbetween:
I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone from the beginning...to the end.
He noted that first came her date of birth and spoke the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the “dash” between those years. (1934 -1998)
For that dash represents all the time that she spent alive on earth...and now only those who loved herknow what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own;
the cars...the house...the cash,
what matters is how we live and love and how we spend our “dash”.
So think about this long and hard...are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
that can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough to consider what's true and real,
and always try to understand the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
and show appreciation more and love the people in our live like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect, and more often wear a smile...
remembering that this special “dash”might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy's being read with your life's actions to rehash...
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent your “dash”?
